I am looking for a computer chair, something with good arm support, as my forearms start to get weary after hours of game play. Any suggestions?
I'll consider most options, would like to see what people suggest, but realistically probably under $300 and probably more around the $200 range.
I sit in a la-z-boy recliner and it's like a throne. You're not likely to find one for under $300 though...
One thing to consider..your elbows..and the material or surface your resting on. I found my elbows were getting toughened up on a cloth material..which was also the first thing on the chair to wear out..where my elbows sat on the arms. I dont get cloth are rests anymore....I also like the ones with a head rest for those sit back moments...an executive chair type.
I prefer the "manager chair" type. They are a bit more comfortable to me. Over time the "executive chair" would be better because they last longer, have higher build quality, and will get broken in to fit your body well. But its the time before the breakin period is over that I dont like. I usually find the most confortable chair on sale at Office Depot when I am getting a new one. This last one is really nice and has all leather, bought on sale for $110, normally $200. I would definitely recommend a leather chair or a good cloth chair. And a really good chusion is a must. Any cheap chair gets too uncomfortable to sit in after a few hours.
I believe this is the chair I currently have. I've had it for a few years now. Very comfortable. http://www.staples.com/Global-Airflow-Leather-Seat-with-Mesh-Back-Chair/product_492943

Just get a lazy boy chair and something like this. I saw online where someone had cut a big piece of ply wood in to a crescent shape, big enough to rest on the arms of the lazy boy. This was big enough for him to sit comfortably with his keyboard, mouse, food and drinks, all in front of him.
Buy it at Office Depot and get the warranty. They'll replace the chair for pretty much any reason. Split cushion, broken arm, etc...
How about being old and flat? I've had my current chair for like, 6 years now. It has lived its life. It is still an ok chair to sit on, but extended gameplay is not so comfortable anymore.
How tall are you Lime? And is it mostly back height, or in the legs? Kinda makes a difference for the design of the chair you should get
After 6 years? I'm 5'8" - 5'9" and I like chairs that have head support for when I want to lean back.
