Maybe there are a few mentions of them being rumored to still exist within or on the other side of the Tau empire. Even a few hints that they may be the reason the Tau got their technology so fast. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they where the next major army/race introduced by GW for the tabletop.

GC 10: Space Marine Class Interview.

I don't know who was in charge of getting this video out, but hey took their sweet ass time doing it.

I liked hearing about their action oriented combat. I disliked hearing the word battleground.

Nice find. Wish they talked more about the class though.

I'm sick of hearing ANY game (TERA, SWTOR, for example) use the word 'battleground'. Cut that @!*# out of these upcoming games. The game world would be, and will be a better place without them.

    Edit:
In addition to the above quote, even though we have seen a lot of that footage in the "trailer tease", this is excellent, and I hope by "battleground" when he was talking about the death penalty, I hope he is using it as the general term, and not what MMO's have come to use it as, because he's says "either in a battleground or an instance" obviously meaning PvE instance, but possible battlegrounds won't be instanced in this case, or as it was in WAR Online - albeit a different company.

40k is one of my favorite game universes, and no matter what this will be high up on my list of games to play, but I think we have a while anyway.

I am not against battle grounds. BGs are an effective way to create combat where you can gain rewards without having your faction snowball. Open world PvP often snowballs for the more populated side. They when through numbers and through wins gain equipment and soon they are better in every way.

I think DMO is going to revolutionize the MMO market. Unfortunately I think it's coming too late.

If class and server population balance is done properly then that kind of containment system isn't needed then?

How about 1 server like EVE. We have the technology. The hero engine that TOR is using can house up to 100k people. By the time this game launches we could have a system that could house up to 1 million people which is what most MMO's have as a subscriber base.

Mythic balanced RvR by adding bonuses to the under populated side. It was as drastic as insta level 30 or 20 characters and as small as +xp and +realm points. It is easy to balance open world PvP, it just has to be implemented. WoW is a bad example to follow for most things.

the one server idea, as awsome as it is, isnt terribly functional with faction-based games... it works in EVE because characters arnt bound by their faction... its a free for all un the truest sense of the term

You would hope so, but there are issues of play times, who is online, who is actively playing and not sitting at a mailbox or some such. Which side has more active players of higher level...

The factors go on and on and it would take quite a bit of time to account and balance for them all. Or you can create a closed environment where you have the same number of people, who are all there for the same reasons and actively seeking to win and roughly within the same level range. Yes you might have pre-mades, better connections, and better equipment on one side. But you have already factored out most of the possible imbalances.

It works well with world war 2 online...2 sides...and they are not an even match...thousands playing on one huge map..1/2 scale of europe.
The Germans have the better gear...all of its better...better armor..better guns..better trucks..better planes.

A game does not have to be evenly matched...
one side just has to play smarter...

Whats stopping you? You can join EVE anytime. I play it here and there too. They are constantly releasing updates for it. In fact they just released one a week or two ago. Quite a lot of new stuff as well as a ton of stability fixes and lag fixes

The problem I have with EVE is you can't catch up to people who have been playing for years, yes I know you can be just as competitive, but imo I just don't like any major gap that you can't close.
