Its to bad I can't play a FPS for shit on a PC. Use to play CS in the early 2000 but that was a while ago. I will say though that after the most recent info released about B.O. I am now excited about the game. It's not a WWII shooter for one ( I hate them so much.) the multiplayer devs seem to have a head on their shoulders that work and the system they have set up seems good, so far at least.

    Good ole aimbots.

I loved CS and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Aside from Quake CTF MP and the original UT. There were so many good FPS's back "in the day".

I miss CTF so much. I hope black ops has it as a game mode.

CTF is such a staple in FPS, and if done "right" - can be a very awesome addition to a game.

Maybe thats why all the FPS games lately have sucked so hard. None of them have CTF =P

So true though, the newer FPS have lost touch with what made FPS so fun and challenging imo. I love CS so much because it's simple, the detail is simple and once you see your enemy, you see your enemy, it then becomes a battle of who can shoot better and not a question of a bunch of other uncontrollable factors.

The newer FPS's have also lost touch with the "feel" of the good older shooters. I said it before but nothing tests your precision with the mouse and keyboard like CS does. I think that's worth noting and I just don't understand why newer FPS get further and further away from that gameplay.

Anyways, enough ranting out of me, I'm interested in playing a shooter with XoO so I hope BO can surprise me.

I agree 110% about the whole "Over Complication of FPS games" theory. Just keep it simple. Give me the same weapon choices as the other guy and let us go toe to toe... May the person with the best reaction and weapon choice for the moment win!

Black Ops Won’t Have Online Pass
Posted by Adam Larck on 09.10.2010

Treyarch will ‘support the hell’ out of game.

Call of Duty fans won't have to worry about an online pass other companies such as EA and Ubisoft are using.

Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia said that players won't have to worry about using a pass to play multiplayer in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

"You won't see that for Black Ops," Lamia said. "The multiplayer comes with the game you buy -- you don't have to do anything else for that. I want to take that in the other direction and bring consumers really great reasons to keep their games, rather than trade them in. Multiplayer is critical to the success of this series. It has such tremendous staying power -- there are millions of people playing Call of Duty every day. It's entertaining people on a magnitude that's mind-blowing and we work really hard to make sure it's supported for a long time."

To keep players from trading the game in, Lamia said that improving and supporting the game will be the main focus for the company after the game ships.

"We're going to support the hell out of Black Ops," he said. "That will be our focus post-release: making sure we keep our fans engaged, and hopefully as a result, they'll want to keep playing our game and won't want to trade it in."

Kudos to them. Also, this reminds me that Battlefield 3 will be published by EA...

Well it seems that a dev team is getting behind their product. Lets hope they follow through.

They did a good job in fixing WaW. It just took them a while to realize they needed to.
