I'm gonna be rich bitch! Looks like they are actually listening but it may also mean that they won't allow modding =/
I can live without modding if the game itself is good enough to keep me entertained. And from what was stated it is.
Why not you still get paid if you come in second. Or possibly first ? Edit: Nvm, forgot about going bankrupt lol.
Wow, I had my doubts about this game (because of MW2 - diff company though for this game). But this is looking very awesome, frustrating, and some-what original for a FPS. I'm going to start keeping my eye on this one, after all these MP videos I've seen for this game, it could actually be pretty good for the CoD series (did I just say that?).
Pretty sure I've read somewhere that they will actually allow modding. If so playing leagues/ladders could be fun again.
I like high FPS, fluid action. Take FPS gameplay from a PC, slow it down 10 frames/second and it'd still look more exciting that console footage.
One thing that is going to suck is the balance on these one hit kills on the PC in which its easy as shit to aim compared to console.
Thank you. @m0n - MW2 ran at a solid, good FPS on 360 and it looked great, and I had tons of fun playing it on console. Now, yeah - if you have/had a good, great computer, then of course its going to run better on the PC. I've already let my friends know that if XoO has a strong Black Ops division then I'm grabbing it for the PC since I backed out on BC2 with you all.
Don't thank me =P I was hitting on the fact that console is a terrible place to play FPS because the controls are so retarded(slow and inaccurate). When you create stupid weapons that are only hard to use in the dumbed down environment and toss them into a real FPS world then its going to cause some major issues.
Yea, having played FPS games on the PC from pretty much Day 1 (Doom 1 actually), even atempting to play it on a Console gives me nothing but frustration. Back on topic... I dig almost every one of those new game modes. I'll definitely be picking this one up!
yah, im worried about competition; how do u compete as a team with these game modes, the answer is your dont.
http://www.bit-tech.net/news/gaming/2010/08/24/cod-black-ops-to-allow-modding/1 Treyarch has said that they will allow modding on the PC version. My only concerns are that the most specific that they would be about the time they release the mod tools is "post-launch," and that they said they aren't sure the extent to which people will be able to mod the game. If done right that would make competition actually possible.
Right off the bat theres supposed to be a "stock" mode in which there are no attachments, killstreaks, etc, only guns. So I'm hoping that in that mode there will be no dual instagib noob knives which people will claim take skill to use but in reality they are just another Hot Carl.
