  5. Walk down the network adapters aisle in your local Best Buy and pick one.

If you're using a desktop, get a linksys wireless G access point and configure it as a wireless client, you won't get any better range than that without a range extender.

The Dynex ones at Best Buy are the same as their D-Link counterparts (down to the chipset), but for a fraction of the cost if you're looking for a bargain.

Well I did that, i picked up a linksys WMP110 with rangebooster, on the box it clearly states for Windows Vista, but guess what, currently it crashes to blue screen and they do not support vista drivers for it..... FOR FUCKS SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats not cool. I would punch someone in the face for that.

  10. Call the better business bureau on them. To state support on the box for vista and to not actually support it is advertisement fraud.

So yeah anyway, after doing some research on my own(even the linksys tech guy on the live chat said that we would have to wait for drivers....)anyway, ill have to go back and return this POS for a usb adapter... what a pain in the ass this is!

I don't recommend linksys products anymore lol... If I really cared at all id write microsoft and let them know their logo is on the box when it really shouldn't be. I'm sure they can make linksys' administration sweat a lot more than I can lol......

  12. I prolly woulda gone usb anyway. Unless you're trying to get gigabit the standard usb2 data rate is faster than the typical network connection.
