Kalemis and I are looking for people that own starcraft2 to help us out and test a custom map we have been working on for a month or so now. It is a capture the flag / hero arena map that is looking very good now. We are trying to have a 4v4 test so that we can balance and get ready for a public release so far we have only managed to get 2v2 going since the sc2 channel is usually somewhat empty or all playing melee. The test should only last 30 minutes or so and we just need feed back on what to add/change and balance before public release, thank you.

you have the tags wrong. It's ({x}) not the other way around. I will be on later tonight after the 1v1 tutorial help session to help test out the new map for you guys. I wanna see what new changes you have already made to the map since the last time I played it.

I suggest putting the XoO website on there because you can upload it to the site and people can dl it from here increasing site traffic and people who play the map.

I don't mind advertising XoO when we publish our map, but I do not want to upload the map file for anyone to download. I have seen a lot of complaints lately of people stealing a map and republishing it with one minor tweak and a slightly different name and calling it their own. Again, we can still put the XoO site on their and you guys can still play it on B-net, but I don't like the idea of putting up the raw map file for anyone to download.

We still need testers though :) I was on vacation when you guys tested it last and I heard you guys did pretty well finding some serious bugs, so hopefully we can get those fixed. Thanks for those who helped test and give feedback :D

I definitely understand that. You guys should be proud of yourselves and I give you mad props because this is one of the best custom games for SC2 to date. It'll be even funner when it's balanced and released to the public. I'm sure we can get it's popularity up so it's at the top of the custom game list.

I played the early version. It's really come a long way in a short time.

Definitely. I think we are pretty much done other than fixing bugs and balance issues. Maybe some more items.

Picking 3 abilities, instead of 2, is getting requested a lot. Personally, I like 2. If we go to 3 that means we will have to add 1-2 more abilities per hero to keep the same amount of choices (picking 3 out of 4 isn't that many choices). Then we have to make sure these 7-14 new abilities for the 7 heroes still feel unique, which is what I think would be difficult. Basically, I think less is more unless someone can convince me otherwise :p

On another note, we managed to get a few 4v4 tests in today and it was pretty fun. It definitely had a cool team battle feel to it and a bit more action packed when twice as many players fill the map. I can't wait to see this go public.... for real!

Yeah give feedback a cooldown, lower the energy cost for cloak, and maybe an energy drain? Like 3 energy every 1.5 seconds and then you pull cloak off or attack with it, put cloak on a cooldown.
