If he went out and bought another 360, he is trying to circumvent his ban. Isn't that against most rules too, and also actionable? He just got double ownd all the way.

I can see a problem if ONE XBL guy took something personal.. but really.. how is something like that going to be caught unless he made emails or talks about it? If he keeps it to himself, he has harassment as the reason he banned them.. that is all, game over.

Buying a new 360 isn't circumventing a ban. The purpose of a console ban is to prevent modding. If your running a modded console they will console ban you so that that cosole can no longer be used to play online. An account ban is usually done when a certain player repeatedly gets reported by other members although I've never heard of an account ban actually happening before. Reason being is trash talk isn't against (or wasn't) the TOS the gaming zone "Underground" is specifically meant for those players. There is also the "Pro", "Casual", and "Family" gaming zones.

Just because it's online doesn't mean someone deserves any less of a punishment than you'd receive for doing this sort of thing in real life. If you were at a club, gym, whatever, and acted like this you'd be thrown out on your ass so fast you wouldn't know what happened.

Good for XBL and kudos to the fact that they're banning people that act like this. If you are being rude or just plain mean for fun, then you deserve to be tossed out on your butt without any warnings.

LOL, are you for real? It's a video game, not water! Although, I think it might be illegal in the Mushroom Kingdom, but yeah, that's a feudal system. :p

Maybe now they'll go outside and get a life. Learn to socialize properly with other human beings.

Personally i think they just got what they had coming and what they deserved. If you go around a game and try to Ruin the FUN for other players while being a Jerk as well. You will really get banned. Well now that that they are banned they will be able to reflect on what they have done.

You didn't really think about what I said. What if every company decides they should be able to shut down their products when ever they feel like. Like every time they have a new model how would you think of my comment then? What if you go buy say a car and in the small print some where it says in lawyer speak that after 5 years they are going to shut that car down and you have to buy a new one. We already buy stuff that is built to fail after a certain amount of time its only a short hop to shutting stuff down after an amount of time if they think they can get away with it.

That is why i said it gives them to much power. I mean we have all ready gone from owning the programs, movies and music we buy to we are merely leasing it in only 10 years.

If you walk into a movie and disrupt it....you will be shown the door. If you do this night after night..soon you will not be able to enter anymore..at all..banned.

if you pick fights in a bar night after night..you will be banned.

    same thing here..its someones establishment.
They want to raise hell and be assholes..they can get their own service and be dicks all day long.

Fact being they don't rewen anyones gaming experience I believe things like this are called pranks and happens daily. No one ever quit playing Halo because of them and as stated multiple times they always told them that they were just messing around. They say they always ask them before uploading them to youtube as well but I'm not so sure about that one.

Actually, I think these bans just prevent them from using XBL, which you don't need to use to play the games, right? They don't actually brick the consoles?

If that's the case, buying a new console is completely unnecessary if you actually want to get back into XBL... at best it's trying to circumvent it, while if you feel you actually have a good reason to be allowed back in you're better off following it up with customer support.

They can shut their service off willy nilly if they so deem. When you agree to the Eula you agree to this. If you buy a car that says you acknowledge this will be shut off in five years then you have no reason to complain.

The DMCA issue is completely different from this.

Calling customer service they will tell you there is nothing they can do. Customer service does not handle bans, console bans are generally permanent since they were meant to ban modding. From what I've heard they were recently unbanned by the leader of the XBL enforcement team.

Well like they say you can't rape the willing if your going to tolerate getting buggered then your going to get buggered. :eek:ook:

BTW E.U.L.A means end user license agreement. The way people seem to just be willing to just accept this shit these days really scares me and gives me great concern for the future.

People will accept the EULA until they become a victim of it. At which point they will fight it.

I understand what you said completely. If it bothers you that much stop buying things from them.

If it still bothers you, join up with these guys. :p

You are still thinking to narrow though. I don't give a flying fart about these guys getting banned.

I do care about the implications for other things though. Do you know that almost all grain seed is now owned and controlled by one company in the united states and that they sue farmers into bankruptcy even if they never bought any seed from them just because the wind blows a bit a seed in to another field? So now farmers are merely leasing the rights to grow your food are you telling me that doesn't concern you at all? If one company can get away with these things then every company in every industry is going to assume they can and should as well.

I just hope the Canadian government and people don't get so complacent as seems to be the case with a rather large and disturbing chunk of the united states population.

I don't know you maybe your just being contrary to be contrary but if your not you really need to wake up a bit and take a look around because pretty soon there won't be anything that isn't merely being leased to you and you are not allowed to own any thing then you are nothing more then a glorify slave.

Well I have said enough about this if I haven't convinced you of the problems with this by now I probably never will.

In all honesty, I really do understand what you're talking about. I'm just saying the only way you have a voice in this society and economy is with your dollars and your votes. So if you don't like it, don't spend it. You know? I'm sorry, it sucks, that's just the best you can do. Sorry, I'm not trying to sound snide. Well, maybe I was at first, but then I realized I was being an ass. Anyway.

If you're talking food, water or essentials though, that's a different story entirely. I am also a Canadian Socialist. Grab a sign and march, brother. :D

These guys are fucked up but some of their pranks are hilarious. I saw a vid where they talk to this chick but hes only interested in one of them and sends him a nude pic and you hear the other teammates begging for it.
