Devil

If you have gone to see a movie lately you may have seen the trailer for this. I'm not one for the horror genre, but even the trailer made me intrigued. The premise is that these 4-5 strangers get into an elevator which then gets stuck and all hell breaks lose. People start getting stabbed and killed, in a small ass elevator.

Now this movie looks pretty good and the theater I was in went dead silent when it started with intent focus on what looks to be an actually decent horror film. That's when about 3/4 into the trailer it comes up that this is written by M. Night Shamadingalingy and the whole theater goes into an uproar of moaning and booing. Hilarious. I definitely will not going to be going to see this movie, evar.

 

M. Night Shamalamadingdong actually has some decent movies out. His last few for some reason sucked.

 

lol thats a good story maybe get it from redbox or something for a dollar, movie i wanna see is Monster after the anime series of the same name

Yea the premise is amazing, but with M. Night even being involved is going to hurt it.

My money is that the old lady is the devil. You would suspect her the least.

 

I was going the other way with absolutely gosh darn crap.

I guess I'm not into the suspense things. That movie is going to suck. Not because its shamalamadingdong but just because it is what it is.

Another thing to note is the "Night Chronicles" at the beginning of the film. Like he's going to be making even more movies...

 

well the height of the dude at the end of the trailer was about the height of the guy in the suit but like monedas quote said its gotta be a crazy stupid twist like someone dropped an ancient penny in the elevator and it had the seed of the devil on it so it just made everyone kill eachother. Like we all have the devil inside us crap.

 

The twist is that all four of them are the devil and they paid the theater workers to lock you in so you can't escape what is sure to be another garbage movie.

I keep hearing about these good movies from M. Night Shyamalan but have failed to see one yet.

Please point me in the direction of something decent he has done. I'm really trying to see why people even know who this guy is.

 

The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable are probably his best and most liked movies. I thought Signs was good too.

It's an interesting premise, but I'm not sure they can really fill a whole movie with peeps stuck in an elevator. I can already see all the dumb-arsery that will happen and I'd be sitting there going " thats sooo fucking illogical." all they have to do is hold each other's hands til the lights go off, then they know who is the stabber or if it's really the devil. there, I saved you all money - donate it to XoO pls.

In short, I agree with Sokar. this movie will probably blow.

 

agree. I think Signs was the last good movie he made. I liked the cast. Mel in his pre-rage days.
