That post doesn't confirm anything. It says he wishes there would be a subscription... but I'm certain Treyarch isn't as dumb as Infinity Ward to botch multiplayer that much. The main reason people play CoD is for the multiplayer, so they're already paying $40 or more for it... and they aren't supplying servers to play on I'm pretty sure, so that'd just be stupid...

After a slew of rumors that Call of Duty was going to become a subscription based franchise, Robert Bowling, (a.k.a Fourzerotwo) creative director at Inifinity Ward stated on twitter today that . . .

Modern Warfare 2 subscription plan rumors going around. For the record, nobody has to pay to play COD or MW2 multiplayer, nor will they.

That wasn't directed at you, it was directed at the majority demographic of console users, which are pre-teen and teen kids. No, that's not based on some official statistic, that's based on my personal experience while playing on Xbox Live.

And because a company like Activision decided to include a children's toy with the game, I'm probably right about that assumption, seeing as how the biggest game publisher probably does its homework.

From my experience(Im a huge pc gamer fan, but due to switching a new career and what not for the past 4 years i havnt bothered to spend money on upgrading to a new computer) so i got a ps3... and i have both call of duty modern warfare 2, and battlefield bad company 2... anyway im just saying that i dont think its just console games in general but the game itself. I cannot find a single game ever in cod2, where i dont have to mute some kid going through puberty. But when i play BC2, 90% of the time im with some actually awesome guys who enjoy working together. Just my experience but i think its mostly the game, not just being consoles.

(But i soooooo miss the mouse/keyboard combo, but i've become decent with the controller now :)

My only complaint about pc gaming, was the ease of game modification. I know for a fact when you get people playing pc shooters, the majority of people modify the game in any way possible to get any sort of advantage. There is also the possibility of cheating as well(havnt played a shooter since cs and cheating was rampant back then). I'm sure you can modify the console versions, but i much less doubt it.

Too bad they weren't cross platform so you can mix and match console/pc users.

I agree, it was based on my personal experiences with Modern Warfare 2 mostly.
I didn't experience it as much in BC2, maybe because the squads were set up small and either people didn't talk or actually took playing seriously.

I'm dreading to get Reach, but it will be my first Halo game and all of my friends are getting it.

After grabbin a console since my Genesis, I've noticed I come across either the whiny, voice cracking kids that play, or the tribal tattoo affliction wearing cuss every sentence grade A douche-bag stroking their e-peen.

P2P = Xbox, What do they think their doing bringing consol to PC, Didnt they realise it after MW2 when they nailed us hard for map packs which you could download with any other COD series....

Lets face it, 9/10 people will buy the game for PC if its P2P, Consol i can see it working with XBL but PC... No just no

Quite looking forward to this. Hopefully Treyarch doesnt make a mess of it like IW did with MW2.

Hope this is the next FPS we pick up and support so we can go back to the CoD4 glory days =P

All this extra crap they keep adding just takes it down hill more and more..

Look how good and simple MW was, Now look at 2, Now look what there is..

They should just take MW + Some new maps + Some new guns and its good to go, None of this 6 vs 6 random crap with 13 yr old kids screeming on it.
