Tbh i thought it was a good game! Also I would rather have one side win by a goal in last minute of ET then by penalties! Sucks Holland lost though : (!
the worse thing about the ref is that is supposedly the best ref in the premier league. Personally, Spain deserved to win imo, and Holland should have been down to at least 10 men, maybe even 9 by the end of the first half. But I was right all along, so wheres my cookie?
Personally I didnt care who would win since our country lost XD But I am just saying that referee was somewhat biased in many occasions. Holland didnt get a free kick when they tackled Robben and Puyol didnt get a red card. When Holland got a red card it was pretty much game over for them lol
That wasn't an easy match to judge as a ref, but he did a good job right until the end. Despite all the errors the ref made, Robben should have scored on the run he had, and the only ones to blame for the defeat are the dutch players themselves.
Spain are the worst team .... won 1-0 all the time come on that S * c k .... ALL HALL GERMANY !!! 4-0 4-1 4-0 WE LOVE IT !
Lol that looks painful. Then again it cant be said it was intended? someone shoved a player from holland as well and the referee didnt see it i think.
Little did Xabi Alonso know, Nigel De Jong is actually a Taekwondo master masquerading as a Dutch soccer player.
3rd place Germany can't beat Spain... The game was a repeat, down to the final score, of the 2008 European Championship final when Spain beat Germany. Spain has beaten Germany twice...to go on to championships. Tha'ts why I chose Spain all the way..talent
I actually thought North Korea played quite well against brazil in the opening match. They had a strong and disciplined defense that kept the brazilians in check. Except for the defensive meltdown against portugal they actually played better than some of the other teams. The biggest disappointment has to be France, they had such big names but they didn't have the morale or teamplay to play just half-decent football. But it wasn't just the attitude on the field, it was also the attitude off the field. The big surprise for me was Ghana, they had a young team who played with the will to win. They wouldn't drop down on the ground at the slightest touch from the opponents, they just kept on running, that's not common in today's football. This hasn't been the most entertaining WC footballwise, but i believe the best team won in the end. I'll remember this WC for the vuvuzelas, scandals and a violent final.
For me this world cup was mediocre, the football wasnt entertaining, but there was alot of upsets, espically with France and Italy bombing out in the group stage, a couple good ol' thrashings and once again, the need for goal-line technology has appeared. In all, I think SA actaully did a much better job of hosting the WC, than people (me included) thought they would.
