from what Ive read, Maradonna left behind some notable defenders, but from the highlights looked like Demichelis switched off at half time. Could go all the way if they play like that.

The US got robbed big time, and that would have put them in a position where they'd only have to get a draw to advance. Thankfully the Brits couldn't put anything in the net today, so our chances are still reasonable.

That should have been impossible, but if anyone deserves that kind of embarrassment it's Italy.

All i can say for the brazil v ivory coast game is... worst ref... ever.

Granted he missed the call on the double hand ball but even i would let that one just slide but giving kaka the second yellow was bull.

Still Brazil played a great game imo and the second half was some of the best gameplay ive seen so far.

Brazil should of been called on the hand ball that scored them the goal. Kaka got red carded because he elbowed a player after already receiving a yellow card not even 5 minutes before. He wasn't even running, he was walking and clearly did it intentionally unless he has chronic elbow spasm problems.

The African team did a splendid job IMO and the last goal by them made me smile almost as much as when I watched the Italy game.

Oh yeah your right, keita runs into kaka, who in turns put his arm up in a harmless defensive way which slightly hits keita in the chest, who then goes down clutching his face screaming. Did you even see it happen. Keita took a dive and because he pointed at kaka, the ref sent him off.

I admit brazil should not have had the second goal, but it happened in the same way its happened before hundreds of times to other teamsso who cares. But that is the worst red ( second yellow ) card ive seen given out.

Anyway portugal vs N.Korea today so should be good.

That looks pretty intentional to me.

If you think thats intentional then you dont know nothing about football. He runs into kaka, who puts his arm up to stop him barging in, no aggressive intent. He gets knocked in the chest and falls to the fall clutching his face.

Its a dive plain and simple. Not that it matters too much tbh at this point since Brazil are through to the next round anyway.

he didn't even look in that direction once.

But, I am sure the guy used telepathy to setup the whole facade. No worries, i'll keep it a secret. ;)

Everyone clutches their face in soccer. Watch Brazil do it in the other video Applicable posted. Whether the guy exaggerated the hit, isn't the point. The point is that Kaka elbowed him.

On a separate note Portugal killed Korea DPR 7:0 and Chile beat Switzerland 1:0.

Argentina, Netherlands, Brazil and Chile are in the next round for sure.

I predict Mexico, Korea, England, USA, Germany, Serbia, Denmark, Italy, Portugal, and Spain also making it.

The four 'for sures' sound like the best picks to win the cup too, Kyoji.

I'm not sure between Australia and Serbia, given the way they've been playing lately, but I'm thinking Serbia is a little more likely.

its a blatent "dive" imo. AFAIK, FA / FIFA rules state that any intentional contact below the neck is a yellow card (push to the chest for example), while anything to the face is straight red.

    England beats Slovenia 1:0
    U.S. beats Algeria 1:0

USA and England both have 5 points and Slovenia with 4, but has a match coming up. Who will move on and who will be left behind? mmmm so close.
