I've been following this game for quite sometime now. And by following it I mean reading what Vigil has about it on there game section over and over:

    Warhammer 40,000 Online

Warhammer 40,000 is one of the most eagerly anticipated MMOs on the horizon. As long time fans of Warhammer 40,000, we're pulling out all the stops to deliver a game that will plunge players deep into this incredibly rich universe.

We’ll be announcing more about the game in the months to come, so stay tuned.

I'm glad they are finally deciding to drop some more tangible information on us.

"By my fury they shall know The Emperor's Name"

Glory and honor to the all-powerful God Emperor!

Though, I think this is only highly-anticipated by 40k fans. :3

To everyone and anyone, if you haven't already done so, go and pick up the Horus Heresy series of books. Awesome stuff!!

Agree. I just finished Book 4, and then I started reading some other Inquisitor books, namely 'Ravenor: The Omnibus" this past week.

Will probably pick up and finish them.
Is the fight b/t the Emperor and Horus covered in the Horus Heresy series?
I'm assuming so, but from all the "clips" I've read of the other books they are tells of other chapters and not the "end battle".

The Horus Heresy has now, chronologically, reached the purging of Prospero by the Space Wolves in the book called Thousand Sons. The first four books are presented in a standard timeline order but once you hit 'Dark Angels' the timeline skips and jumps a little more.

So far the climactic battle between Horus and the Emperor hasn't been detailed - I'm assuming it's on its way. :D

I have over a hundred of the WH40k books in my library. The Ravenor series was by far one of the best. Another personal favorite of mine is the Ciaphas Cain series. The Horus Heresy is easily the most most detailed series in terms of going into the WH40k lore.

<3 the Heresy series. I like how there trying to stay within a timeline and tell the story of what each chapter is doing during the heresy while still pushing us further towards the end. The writers do an amazing job.

Lol I probably exaggerated just a wee bit . I did an exact count of 39. I have a huge library of books. If I included the warhammer novels I'd probably hit close to how many you have. I stopped reading WH40k novels after I couldn't keep up with how many were coming out. Now the Halo, diablo, starcraft, and warcraft novels I know I have them all lol.

It'd definately be interesting to talk with you about the lore sometime though.
