Well due to plane tickets and shit....I would have to stay the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.....then leave the 6th and catch my flight at fricken midnight LOL
I am in the same boat, although, money isnt as much of a problem to me as it might be for some. Best bet is to find someone who you can split the tab with as far as rooms go. If someone needs a place to stay I can always pick up a double bed room, but you will have to put some cash up for it. =P
after the meeting on the 10th we will officially select a hotel, figure out who is doing what, where, how, etc. Looking for: Driver(s) - someone who can pickup from the hotels/airport Guide - where are the good fracking restaurants? Bars? Brothels?
Just need to know if anyone can pick me up from the airport and drop me off.......I'm not a Taxi person and renting a car is pretty darn expensive. Other shit doesn't bother me.
Ok, well the way Kyoji was talking......I'll just sleep on the floor in someones room..probably Kyoji's...just trying to keep my expenses minimal.
Pax/Blizzcon - Rental Car Chip-in (roughly $300 for 5 days per car) - Hotel - Westin Seattle - PAX - one bed / 5.00 blocks - $159 // Split = $79.5 - Tickets - $55 - Air Travel - Departure/Arrival Time - Pickup-Delivery from Airport (anyone?) - Events? - Strip Clubs, Night Clubs, PAX (obviously), Beer Night!, Wal-Mart Trip!?!?! - Drivers/Anyone Driving to PAX or lives in Washington able to provide transportation. The main things you will need to know are: - When people are arriving and departing from the airport as we can probably meet-up there to some extent. I think atm, talking with 3 people the average time for arrival in Seattle is 11AM and departure from Seattle is 11-12PM. - Rental Car, if we need to put some money together for a car then it is about $300 for a full-sized car, which can hold about 5 people. If you are interested let us know. - Hotel, at the moment it looks like we will be staying at the Westin Seattle Hotel. It is $159 a night, but many of our members are splitting the costs and getting 2-bed rooms and only paying $79 a night each. If all else fails you can sleep on the floor in my room. xD - Anyone living in or near Seattle able to provide transportation or lodging? This would help someone im sure. Expect some fun and hilarity as we group up at the Hotel and enjoy 3 full days of PAX entertainment then head back to the Hotel around 7 when PAX closes each day for some random event. Have an event idea? Post it up!
PAX: Like Vicious I'll be looking to cut costs on my room. If you don't get me drunk, I probably won't molest you, so lets see who will be in the "let's split a room" category in this thread for later ^^ I'll volunteer as a driver and prob pick up a rental car for the times listed already. Sooooo if we need to/from transportation pertaining to the airport or whateverelse from Sept2 (noonish) to Sept6 (midnight) I'll be able to help there. Just need to decide what load vehicle we want and if we will have people pitching in with me. Looking forward to meeting people and having some fun.
It would be sweet to have like 10 or so of us doing this. Random EVENTS? - FUCKING HIT THE BARS! PICK UP SLEEZY WOMEN
Bars......too young.......sleezy women or stripper club.....meh no thanks I'll spend my singles elsewhere.
If its the same as it is in Canada, you can rent at 21, but there is a ridiculous insurance fee which is like 3x the initial rental cost or something bizarre
done it before and i think i had to be 21. Either way, i'm 26 now so TAKE THAT! and insurance was optional, i have insurance on my own car and they said it would be accepted on their car too with a small transfer type fee. I don't know the specifics on how it was supposed to work if i crashed it, but I've never been in a wreck (that was my fault) so it isn't something I worried about at the time.
i know the seattle area quite well so i can show all the fun places and good places to eat also, you really dont need a car, downtown seattle everything is really close by. http://www.graylineseattle.com/airportexpress1.cfm this is a shuttle that will take you to the downtown hotels from the airport and a roundtrip ticket cost 25 bucks. one last thing the sheraton Seattle is right next to the convention center so dont have to walk far. checked online cost 800 dollars if staying sep 2-6, if you split it 4 ways, which equals 50 a night or 200 each. ive spent crazy amount of time planning my trip last year if you need help kyoji didnt know you could edit your post. if still wanted to stay at the westin i found 190 a night for 4 people . which equates to 47 dollars a night
I'll probably just be taking the bus in from Redmond, but I'd consider meeting up with XoO people if the events were something I could stomach
