Is there any interest for a XoO faction? It just entered open beta a few days ago. For anyone that doesn't know, it is basically a DoTA mirror. For anyone that doesn't know what DoTA is I can't really explain shorthand =p.

If you are interested please post.

we do have a league of legends division, which is far more popular within our community. And in my opinion a far better game as well.

It as well is a dota-esk type game, but unlike hon who stole all the original heros from dota, League of Legends, is 100% new. New items, new heros, new styles of maps. Give us a shout, or climb on down the ladder and talk to us on vent.

    To Steal
Mind explaining how they stole heroes, while having the express permission from one of the original custom maps developers (Icefrog)

Anywho, I don't mean to start any sort of flame war or HoN Vs. LoL debate here. Heroes of Newerth stays as true to the original concept of DoTA, while having new Heroes (as well as ports). League of Legends is it's own game, while have it's roots fairly entrenched in DoTA.

Actually I am pretty sure a number of people play HoN. People probably just stopped posting about it because as soon as anyone does LoL fanboys rush in and derail the thread.

I have played both games, both games can be fun, but honestly HoN is more polished/fun in my opinion. LoL there were just too many bads. Or too many heroes that could drop you in seconds with no way to stop it.

Or the fact that you could spend 10-20 minutes sometime just trying to get a game because some tool leaves during hero selection and the whole game search starts over. So many times that happened consecutively, I just lost interest.

Look, if you're really set on saying LoL is a better game than HoN, please back up your statement with factual evidence (Not that it is going to be easy, since HoN is Polished DoTA with new heroes and LoL is a completely different game [apples and oranges comes into mind])

LoL is updated frequently, new characters are released every week or two, the mod team is very active for it, the community for HoN is fucking terrible (if you're new you get reemed for it for ages. Its very elitist from what I've heard), as well as the obvious fact that HoN costs money once its out of beta. In addition, LoL has been awarded game of the year by IGN, and has been a top contender for other awards.

EDIT: gamespy, not IGN. my bad

ok boy lets not play who has the bigger thing....

LoL is more fast paced and more team oriented style game unlike HoN

Yes they both have bugs and what not but HoN has some known game breaking bugs and what not also lets not top it off that there alot of OP Heros in HoN so if u get a team with those what 3 or 4 of them then ur fcked.

So before yall go spamming away most LoL memeber based already tried HoN out and didnt like it at all. I like LoL better since its alot more team based and goes faster HoN is more so a reskin of DoTa as many out side of XoO will say to.

why would we have to back it up? if like or u should re look at the few that posted said they prefer LoL to HoN and gave there opinion which then you turned around and shot it down kinda already gave there reasons why.

Look at all the QQ thread on HoN about the OPness on alot of the heros and look at LoL's. Most the Heros on LoL just been reworked and skill have been changed around on some the Heros to
HoN more polished? lol and LoL has Op hero's?

are we even on the same game? there are much much more heros in HoN that are way over power and can press I solo everything button. Lets not get on the topic about Fog of War in some spots the other team can be right next to u but u cant see them due tot he fog but they can see u. IE mid lane and spots in the woods

Not sure what changed in OB now since im redown loading it but HoN has crashed on me more then AION, VISTA and LoL put together when i was playing it.

I for one like HoN much better. I have numerous friends that I play with that have tried both, and play HoN with now. It's personal preference, and don't care that some people think LoL is better. Also when it comes to gaming, I'm not sure about you guys...but I'm not poor so $30 isn't really a huge deal.

Too many OP heroes, lol? Those posts are from the people too stupid to pick a decent team, or decent countering items. There are maybe 3 over tweaked heroes that come to mind, and even then they aren't that bad if you know how to play against them.

LoL was supposed to be the new DoTA, then there was HoN. Now LoL changed to "DoTA, but different!".

Also, I have never had HoN crash once in over 200 games.

I think the main problem is it seems as though you guys are dead set on comparing these games as if they're the same. They're not, they're two different games and you've got your opinions on one and the other and we've got ours. Can we please just drop this here as a difference in opinion and you guys can vacate the HoN thread so the people who want to play it together may discuss it?

Look at the top left of your minimap. I believe you somehow hit that toggle button. Otherwise, enemies healthbars should be outlined in red (also, if you select an enemy hero, they will have a red circle under them.

As for crashing, are you using XP,Vista or 7? If the latter of the two, are you running the game in Administrator mode?

Also though, I'm glad to here you've given it another try. I would love to play a game or two with you sometime to try to help teach you some more about the game (the different phases of the game [early, mid, late] maybe some more complex things such as creep denying and last hitting and how, where and why fog occurs and how to use it for you and against the enemy.

Also, HoN gets a K2 exception when you close it down for me and both of my roommates as well. It's a weird bug.

I haven't had it crash out of a game either. Only when closing it down =p

its also 30 USD for LoL but you dont have to buy it to play no one said about being cheap and cant afford it, so not sure where or why you would even say it.

Also there are a few over powered Heros even wit the right build/team can still own ppl. iv also asked around and thank god some of the use to be over powered heros got reworked but it took them a long time.

So iv notice after playing a few games my score and what not hasnt changed am i missing something?
