Just watched Dead Leaves pure Japanese anime insanity. Its very Japanese and very weird just to warn anybody before they go check it out.

Also watching SoulTaker slightly less weird short series pretty good so far that's if like me you like your anime slightly bent .

I own both of these.. Dead leaves is an acid trip on acid with crack... I love it! Soultaker is goodish.... I think plot wise it falls on it's face especially at the end but artistically it interesting and you honestly can't beat a JAM Project opening, especialy that one.

I'll have to check out Dead Leaves.

I just finished up Black Lagoon: Second Barrage and Eden Of the East (both were very good).

Hellsing OVA- Vampires vs Nazi's vs Vatican,
Higurashi no naku Koro ni - No matter the dimension you can guarantee, a crazy anime girl is going to brutally murder someone in the village

To be fair, the vampires aren't on their own side so much as aiding the various :p

Protestants (with vamps and mercs) vs Nazi's (with all sorts of monsters!) vs Vatican (with relics!)

I recommend you Death Note. It's really amazing. A must, really.

I would recommend the manga over the anime though for that series.....same goes for bleach.

If anyone has not seen Akira you seriously are missing out on the probably greatest anime movie of all time.

Definately alot of weird and taboo things going on in that anime :p but since its so weird and taboo it manages to catch alot of viewers attention. The story is a little cheap though the way that Lucy can conveniently go into her dumb self when ever the writers find it convenient for the story.

Death Note was a pretty good anime but it started to go downhill after the death of L, and the way the main character dies like a chump after killing so many people kinda sucked lol.

here are some other must watch animes:

    - Code Geass
    - Berserk
    - Samurai Champloo
    - Full Metal Alchemist
    - Ghost in the Shell
    - Cowboy Bebop

What? No love for the hip-hop themed samurai action cartoon, Samurai Champloo?
Its like my favorite anime series of all time lol. Its got the perfect blend of action, comedy, and well, nice music.

Sadamistu the Destroyer is awsome! The dub of it really knows how hokey the premise is and runs with it. as for Jing... jing even as a manga felt very disjointed to me and hard to follow....

Only gotten a chance to see a couple episodes so far but Gunslinger Girl seems quite good.
Also if you can get past all the school yard drama Shakugan no Shana is not too bad either.
