Well, Sword of the Stranger has been at the top of my playlist for half a year now, and I do believe it's time for something new.

If anyone has any suggestions for a new film I would really appreciate it. If someone can suggest something that surpasses SotS I will be thoroughly impressed and bow down to your greatness. :)

I am open to anything, I just want some new eye candy.

    thx

Pretty much anything, I would prefer a movie over a series as I'm already tied up in a couple and am extremely impatient when it comes to waiting for the next episode.

I guess the only exception would be anything overly kiddie, if that makes sense.

Movie... well short series would be Kara no Kyōkai.

I agree with Code Geass, good series but long.

I specialize in abominawsome series myself so Guyver: Bio-boosted Armor (The new one is good!), Godannar, GaoGaiGar, Betterman, G Gundam... Noticing a trend yet?

Blood+ is VERY good. if you need utterly abusively silly and awesome try Needless.

Check out the two Karas movies. The story sucks, but you asked for eye candy, and you won't be disappointed :) I actually bought the DVDs as I thought the battles were so awesome :)

This is part of the first battle from the first movie:

Wow those two guys are godlike, flying everywhere, doing matrix moves, and fighting with swords while flying.

I happen to own both the Karas movies (damn manga for taking a freaking year to put out the second one...) and I completely and utterly love it. Great action, and while you may complain about the writing I enjoy all that "philosophical bullshite.

Big O is pretty good sort of a noir detective meets giant robot anime. Its also got a sort of old meets new animation and art style as well.

Also KM you might want to check out Blassreiter if you haven't seen it yet its in the same kind of territory as those others you mentioned.

    Karas
    (youve seen that vid already)

    and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
its a serise, but a finished one.... it might not have the awsome animation of Karas or Kara No Kyoukai, but i garentee... you will not find more epicness anywhere. infact... its probably physically impossible for something to more Epic than this show is. so much so... i cannot show you a video of it, since they simply dont do it justice, and most of the Epic points, would be spoilers.

I vouch for Kara No Kyoukai.
Though be warned it is much more about characters psychology, murder mystery and scenario than action.
It may seem complicated on first wiewing, but everything makes sense once you have seen every movie.

As for Guren-Lagan, I gave up at the stupid episode (#4 was it ?). One day I'll have to go back, skip it, and watch the rest.
I doubt it will surpass my favorite Gainax production though.

If we are looking for epic winness.... and don't mind gratuitous fan-service (this is understatement on a level I cannot touch)... there is Needless.... the opening pretty much blew my mind.

Blood+ is good so far, only downside is I bought Blood: The Last Vampire a couple years back and the animation is so much better than the series. Hopefully the story will carry it.

Needless is halfway done, I need more seeders :)

I actually liked the animation of the series a bit better than the movie, but then movies get higher production values than series often cause they are one shots. Blood+ is better though due to the fact that it's just dripping with delicious plot.

O.k, so here is one that I have come to like, its an old one but sometimes the old are the best. Made in 1989 it has alot of action, facemelting, good simple story. If you like action in Anime such as Bersek, Hellsing and similar this is a good way to go for a short Anime film. Its also kinda rare now and took me quite a while to find.

    Baoh
    (Example of the action)

**Sorry - Can't post these sites on the forums :( , But I'm sure people can use Google or other means of communication if they really want to share the knowledge...** - KM Edit
(Edit - No Problem KM, my mistake.) To everyone else, I had basicly linked a download location. Seems you will have to find it yourself :p

You can also find the whole movie on Youtube but the quality isnt as good.

Not sure on which youve seen so ill pop a few sugestions or short series.

Higurashi no naku koro ni - Little Dark But well worth a watch
Berserk - Lots of Blood but a solid story and character development, a few disturbing scenes but nothing compared to the manga
Claymore - Lass's with Giant swords chopping up demons
Gurren Lagann - Over the top Mech action
