Coolermaster makes some pretty sweet cases too (I have one of their stacker 830 evolution models, this thing is a tank)
Obsidian 800D - Water Cooler's Dream http://corsair.com/products/800d/default.aspx This video shows their amazing first attempt at a case design (grommets ftw), the H50 CPU cooler (very cool), and their PSU's so you can see the individual line's I was referring to earlier, Sogetsu.
Only thing I've used by Antec is their HTPC case (loving it). But, I have read that they have OCP on almost all of their PSU's now for overclocking. The only reason I haven't used them is because I am so brand loyal to Corsair, the use what you need option for PSU's is so nice (especially if you're OCD about the cleanliness of your box like I am).
Will probably be upgrading my processor/board eventually (using this now, CPU and vid. card respectively): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130318 But - right now I'm just looking to upgrade my PSU and my graphics card. I have had these 2 vid. cards in my wish list for some time (after reading reviews, etc. on newegg I narrowed it down to these two cards, albeit they are pretty similar): eVGA 1257 GTX260 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130433 eVGA 1170 GTX275 (Currently Unavailable now??) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130475 Would you suggest any other model? (another GT series perhaps?) or just surf around until I find a good deal on either of these two? Have also these 2 power supplies in my wish list (Probably won't be SLI-ing anytime soon, so do I really need an 850w?): Both Corsairs (750 and 850w respectively): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139009
That 260 is a really nice card, and no you don't need 850w unless you're going to power about 40 usb devices But, like I've said half a dozen times now in this thread, I'd personally say go for this years model instead of last year's as it allows you to do individual power lines. It's $20 more but worth it, in my opinion. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010
You weren't being redundant, I just wanted to make sure you knew you had an option of the "wired vs wireless" PSU's. As I personally think they're one of those small innovations that should change the generic model by all vendors.
I'll save that link to my wish list once I get off work later tonight. Thanks again, sounds interesting. I hope my GTX will fit into my Antec 900 case, I know the card is about 11" but.. would rather not want to buy a new case too! :3
True. BTW, was just looking here while I was at work, would this be a comparable PSU to the one you linked? The specs seem the same (PCI connector is different 6+2 instead of 8 - same thing??) but its a bit cheaper - still Corsair: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006
If you're going to OC (which I thought you said you were), then no, as the one I suggest has OVP where yours does not.
