That's the colts theme goofball. It was a tough loss, but the Saints really outplayed the Colts in the second half. A lot of credit goes out to them for being as ballsy as they were, big gamble paid off.
Pretty sure he was talking about the on-side kick as the big gamble, 4th and goal from the 1 was a risk yeah, but no biggie really since they got the three points on the next possession. Also, the pick-6 was just insurance as the Colts didn't score again.
one of the most entertaining Superbowls in years. still a game down to the fourth quarter, and only one turnover entire game (not counting the onside kick.) congratz to the Saints and their fans.
Yes, I was referring to the on-sides kick, that completely changed the momentum of the game. The Saints were on the field for practically the entire third quarter which really hurt the Colts. Despite being personally invested in the game it was still a really good Superbowl just wish it'd turned out better for me At least I can take some solace in the fact that Purdue won the Superbowl, oh well. 6 Purdue (19-3) vs 10 MSU (19-5) on Tuesday at 9est on ESPN!
The Saints were on the field the entire 2nd quarter (save 6 plays). While the onside to start the 2nd half was ballsy and solidified momentum, in reality the Saints gameplan had gelled in the 2nd quarter. Peyton went over 70 mins between completions (that's realtime, not gametime, btw) from the first to the third quarter. The game was really won because of the Saints offensive gameplan and Drew Brees' effectiveness at executing it. I don't think the NO defense had it in them to keep Peyton out of the end-zone had the NO Offense not dominated time of possession like they did.
