Ok...So I finally get a chance to sit down and play ME2 after getting it yesterday. Damn WoW raid and such blocked my time. Anyway, I sit down, hoping to get a good sit-in with a game I've been waiting for and waiting for. 7 hours later, I realize I've been playing this game for 7 hours...And I've only got 2 squad mates (not including the Cerberus duo)! Seriously...Fuck You Bioware. I want my damn life back!

*Closes Firefox and goes back to ME2*

This, and like I stated in the other ME2 thread, I've put 10 hours in and I feel like even though I look throughout all the missions / sidequests that I miss a whole lot.

Totally awesome, gotta work the next 5 nights though :\

Just got my copy in the mail. Have yet to play it.

Since I own Dragon Age, I get to use the Dragon Armor in ME2. Cool :)

I'm about 24 hours in now, got it yesterday at midnight, played it for an hour, then spent all day yesterday and most of today playing it, still not done, getting close to finishing though, have one last personal quest to finish, and then I'm gonna explore every inch of the galaxy and find every last side mission I possibly can before the "Suicide Mission" way better than I expected.

I was heavy into fallout 3 for a little while but kind of lost interest once I got into the later portion of the game. Too easy it seemed.

Everyone get the CE for the special items??

Awesome game. I had one game budgeted and had to choose between Mass Effect 2 and Star Trek Online. Glad I made the right choice--I wish ME2 was co-op multiplayer though.

Anyway here are a few links.

ATI has released 10.1 with a hotfix for crossfire in ME2 to enable AA:
    http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/force-Anti-Aliasing-support-in-Crossfire.aspx

And here's a link with ME1 PC saves. I've gone through 3 or 4 OS installations since I played it and didn't want to track down the folder on one of my old hard drives--so this site is great.

And last but not least a way to make a Samuel L. Jackson lookalike. I haven't tried it at home yet but if it works it would be awesome for a Renegade character. A friend found it on one of the ME1 boards so I'm not sure if it will work for ME2.

Lol, I have this game and havn't even started it yet.

I'm afraid once I do I wont be able to play any other game and I'm trying to get to 50 in aion. So I trying to hold out until I can just focus on it alone. Can't wait. Well, I can but barely.

Finished Playing it on first playthrough, Much better combat then the first, No Crappy Veichle sections, And missions seemed more compact and varied.

Though the Fem Shep has much better voice acting, Was laughing all the time going for Garrus relationship.

3rd one should be awsome, just hope choices have more of a impact, they didnt feel as big as they made em out to be.

ME2 is good but it seems like the story line is terribly short. If you didn't have a separate mission for every squad member there are only 4 actual collector plot missions.

Combat is faster paced though even on insanity it seems a bit easy. Only mob that was a problem were the ones that used shockwave on you.

    Lack of equipment variety sucks.

    New UI is much better.

Replaying with the same character is really lame since you can't pick a different class. Have to replay soldier til level 60...

Cover mechanic needs a bit of work, as does being able to shoot from cover.

Wanted more reaction from the actions taken in the first game. Nothing really mattered except a different dialogue response or the person just cut out of the game all together. I want different missions for the same step in the story and what not.

8.5/10 for me. Good game but less of a game than the first imo. Too much focus on character development and not enough on plot.

we can hope ME3 brings everything full circle, Im pictureing a massive war with the forces depending on choices youve made.

Ie Quarians - Did you turn data in or exile etc
Rachni - Did you kill them (They did say they would help in the future in ME2)
Geth - How did you handle Legion?
Collector Base - How did you handle it?
Council Forces/Alliance - How did you handle the end in ME1? ( Constant stories of races building up fleet when you pass news stations)

If they do it right should be good

ps: Heres a Link of a honest review http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/1461-Mass-Effect-2, The mans a legend at reviews, shame he stopped using the custom intro's

I love a lot of the humor in ME2. I lol'd several minutes when I found out that when you have a romance in ME2, the picture of your ME1 romance in your cabin gets put face down (not removed, the picture is actually put face down). That's actually gonna make me do a playthrough where I'm faithful to the ME1 romance to see if it impacts ME3 at all. The bachelor party at the bar on Ilium is also pretty funny if you keep talking to them.

As far as ME3 goes, I wonder what squadmates will make a reappearance. Obviously ME2 had a couple people carry over, but others (Liara for example), said they'd join you, but have other pressing things that they needed to take care of. Would be cool to see some of the original ME1 characters come back in ME3.
