actually if cox plays I will probably pick it up. After doing some reading looks like they will have open world pvp, instances, and leveling up through pvp. I wouldn't mind giving it a shot. There isn't a whole lot to mess around with for a while now anyways.
I'm confused, if you have any basic understand of Star Trek then you know Klingons are always fighting. So primarily being able to level up due to combat only seems right with what fans know about Star Trek. Those "I just wanna grind and not get blown up" people can stay feds. Those of us that want to live Klingon in STO will play Klingon and PvP for our levels. So all this "monter/LOTR" crap needs to stop LOL who cares! Klingon is the way we're going from what I've seen and that's that.
i dont even like star trek to be honest ... nem has me watching Deep Space 9 (mid way thru season 2 now) and TBH i just wanna play cuz i want some PvP with some of the Xen people such as nem kyoji etc ... so i do not care about anything other then the fact i can blow shit up with a big ass space ship and control that space ship (not like eve which i played for years) so if you want pew v pew JOIN US !!!

The USS XEN Open instance npc battle at starbase 24..enemy constantly respawn. Anyone can attack any npc ship and you do need the help. No way to get thru this alone..or even with a 5 man team. There is a mission here to complete get close enough to starbase to beam aboard and rescue some scientist..away team battles...then your in your own instance. This pic is just a few ships fighting....second pic in the four ships I grouped up with and me taking a shot from 10km..everyones maximum range. The white shapes near me are the loot drops. klingon ship got all blowed up visible damage to uss xen from above fight..I barely made it..just lvl 5 captain and my first ship with second lvl weapons and shields. The USS Xen sitting right above the strut of a klingon cruiser..for size comparison..had to help some NPC klingons fight. SO they didnt blow me up at the end of battle.. I doubt USS Xen gets many chances to sit this close to one of these monsters. away team with turrent..as engineer its a kit I chose to wear for that mission. USS Xen navigating Sector space..its how you get from one instance to another...there is an autopilot or fly it yourself..there are enemy ships(instances) that spawn here and trader ships...to enter an instance..you fly near a system. You can wait there and form a team then go in...some are instances just for you if your on a mission...others can join your mission. Some are constant battle instances where enemy just keep respawning and anyone can hop in the battle with you. my human avi on right (Va Q.Uem) some short lady came and stood next to my really tall Avi...give you idea of the variations USS XEN riding off into the sunset after a successful mission
guess I should add a planet away team shot. Here I have found an anomoly and using the tricorder. picked up a bit of antimatter and a biological specimen. and just some odd alien structure next to it.
