I was ticked that I couldn't get some SShots of a few of the finishing moves that my toon has done. For some reason, print screen wasn't working at the time. Next time I might just pause it and try it that way. But I agree, we should start a SS thread.
i cycled out the dog, have been trying a mix of characters. the tower area is absolutely sick its like playing a whole new game. make sure to have a couple hours tho my warrior has managed a couple nice decapitates and other killing moves and i am always pleasantly surprised by them!
with talk like this, i kind of wonder why they opted away from changing the body styles of your toons.
For my original main, Deric, I ended up missing Lelianna , so my current team is Wynne, Allistair, Zevran and myself. Zevran is a fucking retard though. We'll go into a room and he'll see some enemies and go, "watch out, there's a trap there." And then, in all of his infinite fucking wisdom, he runs over the trap to get the enemies. Or, even better, we'll be fighting a bunch, and he'll chase after some ranged DPS and follow them all the way back into another nest of Darkspawn, so he gets swarmed while we're dealing with the last of the first mob, and already he's dead and there a huge mob coming right for us. ARGH! lol
I finished my first playthough last night I was happy with the ending I got, and I am looking forward to playing through it again to see how different decisions affect the world. I was a little creeped out by Spoiler Morrigan's desire to screw Allister and have an old-god love demon child with him. Way to set up a sequel or some new content there. I am a human noble rogue right now. I played through the intro and got to hear Arl Howe speak longer. I had a "holy crap. That's Tim Curry's voice" moment That made me quite happy. Apparently Flemeth is voiced by Capt. Janeway.
Anyone know where to get your Dragon Scale and Drake Scales reforged into armor? I finally killed the High Dragon this morning. ^_^
The smith in Denerem (wade I think) will forge everything. You need to have him make the 2 drake scale pieces (6 scales) before he will make the dragonscale plate
It's pretty good... I don't know if it is better though. But I had 2 plate wearers in my group, so I used both sets on my warriors.
Bioware's newest RPG. It takes all the good parts of KotOR, Mass Effect and BG and smashes them together into a really good game.
yeah I found the actual link, was watching the flash game as was like WTF? I am not a huge fan of single player RPG's and generally anything without PvP unless its an FPS type game like Halo, but looks like they put a lot of time into this.
The story, characterizations and voice acting are all top notch. The combat is iffy sometimes until you get enough tactic slots to not have to micromanage everything. I really like games like NWN, KotOR, etc., so this is right up my ally. If my cable hadn't been out all week, I don't know if I would have even picked this up. Though I am extremely glad that I did. I like MMOs and pvp, but it is nice to get away from the asshats that populate every one of those servers and take charge of my own game.
Once you get your group makeup down and your tactis set (took me forever to notice the attitude adjustment in the top right) the destruction you can wreak is amazing. used to run a real heavy melee group which could be tough to heal, now running wynne, morrigan, and lili all as ranged with wyne and morrigan cross healing. been working well.
Picked this game up last night. Havnt been able to play much, but so it has meet all my expectations. Playing as a human noble rogue starting with.
I admit that when I started I was like "man I hope I don't just get stuck somewhere and get bored" but the story, as open ended as it seems, is still fairly linear and the quest log is pretty good. I just need to get the dwarves and I will be ready to face the darkspawn. I am thinking about what to be on my second run throug... I will try to pick up wynne first this time, but imk debating with a rogue archer, 2 hander warrior, or dps/cc mage. The choices arghh. And lfd2 is coming out. Hopefully ill finish this game before then.
I really want to get this for the 360 for the achievements (that's really the only reason). I know I'll be playing it, just don't know when.
the main thing i love about this game is it is semi open story line, you can spend hours doing side quests without touching the main story line, but linear enough to be able to easily follow the story. I hated oblivion, mainly because there was so much to do i just spent most of my time standing arround doing nothing while i tried to figure out what i should be doing. this game has very clear goals and objectives while at the same time allowing you the freedom to somewhat choose your own path through the game.
