Bounty Hunters are one of the few in the Universe that CAN kill a Jedi. Remember the fight with Jango? Obi Wan almost bit it.
Have to remember, this is 3,000+ years before the movies. Back then, Jedi and Sith were more abundant, and not as defyingly stronger than everyone else. So far they have announced 4 classes, 2 to each side, and they said each class will be balanced with the others. Being a Jedi will be a choice from the beginning, but i think they will put in things that are negative towards the class to help balance, while giving other classes buffs and benefits. One of the benefits of being a smuggler is he gets more money on every quest. Also, he gets a sidekick, ala chewy, so your not just fighting 1 but 2 guys. I totally have faith that Bioware will balance this game, my only worry is it will be too single player in a big world feeling, which isn't always bad.
i hope one of the classes is a assassination droid! HK-47, was so awesome in the KoToR games that he needs his own class. one thing that im asking miself will be this the first MMO with out a healer class, or what they will invent for the healer class.
yeah the sith battle change looks awsome, can you imagine in a pvp setting some one running below and you change from a bridge or something. looks like they have a good engine!
Just got a chance to check this out. Looks fun! Though seriously... Will anyone NOT play a Jedi/Sith? Dual Welding Light Sabres?! COME ON!
i for one WILL be playing with dual. because there is not masive light sabres! if there is a big h2 gratelightsabre ill use that, but they dont exist. so ill use dw light sabres lol
are you saying that a huge lightsaber doesn't exist at all or just that it won't be there in this game? Dual Phase lightsabers were common in The Old Republic. I believe that Splinter of the Mind's Eye had something about Luke's first saber being a dual phase in the opposite direction where it could become a thin surgical type of blade though no other mention of that was made to my knowledge (though I've not read any of the comics, only novels) and Corran Horn's saber had a double length feature he used a number of times and it was identified as being something of a very old design that wasn't popular since the fall of The Old Republice fall of The Old Republic And I wouldnt' count out the possibility of Jedi Healers, though I would guess Bacta would be the word of the day for most healing needs. Edit: See the Adjusters listed
As great as dual wielding looks, im fairly certain over 80% of all the jedi/sith players will be using two lightsabers. Ill stick with the one but depending on whats put into the game from the huge lore I may change my mind. Plus it wouldnt surprise me to see better bonuses being given to wielding one lightsaber as opposed to two.
From my understanding, there will be pros and cons to using the 3 types of lightsaber they plan to originally implement in the game (release pre-patch/expansion). The one handed lightsaber, duel wield lightsaber and the double-bladed lightsaber. P.S "big 2handed lightsabers" exist, they're called dual-phase lightsabers and go up to 3 meters in length. ______________________ New vid:
haha you think me having gone to PAX would have had something up about it first ohh well haha was awesome they had a room set up like a cantina got to share a drink with adam sessler from X-play
thats good to hear... and p.s. read where i went into depth on the history of dual phase light sabers and even referenced books and characters that used them like 3 posts ago
i forgot how easy it must be to comment on speed of progression when you play none of the released games active in XoO. but trying to be positive, I congratulate you on perfecting the bad attitude of your sith well ahead of the reasonable time of game release. but i guess as you didn't read the other post that you responded directly (with your sith magic perhaps), you won't read this one and the topic can go back to the excitement about a great video game that even a bad attitude can't take away.
