Ok, it's been one hell of a year in my area regarding the weather. We gone since January: In Columbus, Georgia. It's Been freezeing cold.... close to 0 F. Lots of Rain so Far this year. Feb. 28th, we had a line of storms come through and produced a tornado which struck a small town(Bleecker, ALA.) just to the north west of Columbus. The next day, March the 1st. We had snow!!!!!!!!!! 6+ plus inches in the south!!!!!!!!!!! More rain in march then the 3 previous years combined. April- 10th. we had a storm system come through and produced 11 tornadoes in WTVM's coverage area. All these were EF-0's or 1's. nothing to big. April 17th, another batch of storms cam through giving false tornado warning for like 3 counties in the area; but produce nothing but heavy rain and lighting. April 19th, Sunday night. a storm that had been active and producing damage in other counties finally made it to columbus, GA/phenix city, Alabama. Read this..... http://www.wtvm.com/Global/story.asp?S=10210945 EF-2 and est. damage from this twister is 20 million US$ so far. the sad thing is, it was so close to the station, the employee's took shelter and left the radar which was so close to the tornado that radar couldn't see it anymore and all of columbus was left wondering, am i next. Oh, and i started working there again yesterday (Monday). BTW, I open the door and it was raining very hard. Then, it suddenly stopped raining, the wind picked up. a lot. i can only imagine how close my house was to the path of this hopping tornado as it went through midtown and continued out of town along Macon road which is very close to me. My point is... i've lived here my whole entire life. (20 yrs) And have not seen a year like this ever. I think the weather (Tornado's and possibly hurricanes have their eye's set on this city and area. today it's windy as hell.......) 20 mph - 35 mph winds. (usually; this area, the valley, has never been tornado prone but this year is the exception to that rule of the valley.) Anyway: how's your weather been so far.
i swear, the miserable conditions at most army bases are my biggest evidence the government has weather control tech... you can say its the regions they pick, but just down the road things seem so much nicer.
I live in farm land ohio, -_- its always either wet or way to hot, theres rarely an in between day unless u count winter, but thats when i got to sleep for months on end lol
Haha. My boyfriend is stationed in Edmonton, Alberta. I haaaaate visiting there in the winter. My eyelids freeze.
I've heard stories about that. Simply seeing snow on the streets in Vancouver/Richmond was kind of new to me... back where I used to live (Auckland) they just didn't ever have any snow.
Very true, especially since winter is coming.. dammit.... Send some global warming up here? ... please ?
In all honesty, I find weather hilarious heh. I don't feel cold nearly as much as everyone I know, so when they're in a coat, freezing, I'm walking in a T shirt, constantly making fun of them
