Say you buy 1 game every 3 months over the same 3 years. $50 * 12 * 3 = $2124 That's a lot for games, when you could spend a quarter of that one just one game and never get bored.
That is how I justify it too If you go out for 1 less movie a month, you pay your months game costs if you play 1 MMO. (its probably more like the cost of 2 MMOs actually ) Other games have had achievements before GW CoH for example has them.
If its every 3 months you should have multiplied by 4, or divided by 3 somewhere so really its $600 And even $50*12*3 isnt $2124 its $1800. Good math PDog
I'm sure you're smart enough to come up with $15 worth of consumables on your own. It's ~4 pick-your-average-Starbuck's beverages. ~3 meals at [insert name of fast-food restaurant] or <1 meal at [insert name of sit-down restaurant]. It's the ~3 gallons of gas you save because you don't go to movies, sports, or concerts.
Yeah, GW still comes to about $180 over the same period so that's by no means dirt cheap. I'd consider WoW if pay per hour was available. For the amount of time I'd spend playing it, which might be a couple weekends, $15 a month is too much.
But isnt GW also kinda becoming wowish with the open area exploration and the way you can make your toon in GW2?
$15 does get me renter's insurance...which I should be getting... Hmm...playing WoW for a year or insuring $30,000 worth of stuff...
I'm also sure you're smart enough to have some decent priorities. Hey if you don't have $15, you don't have $15, in which case WoW is a no-go along with cable TV and cell phones and all kinds of stuff. When I lost my job and my food budget for the entire month was $100, then $15 was a hell of a lot. But most of us who are employed have some money that we spend on non-essentials each month. The question then becomes which non-essentials we want to prioritize. Do I really need to buy 4 more Starbucks a month or is the free coffee at work (which is often...Starbucks, and sometimes Peetes ) acceptable in exchange for me using that money to play WoW?
I don't know if it's been mentioned. But there's a title for killing 1 million Tuskarr and gives you the title.... Baby Seal Club.
Hope so, that would make it a better game. Really needs some proper guild wars too, not just this tournament play on specific maps. Right now it's too much like a real-time collectible card game.
In awe more like, lol... I chose to spend all of my vanity "grinding" in GW, but it's really the same thing Seriously, been playing wow nearly 3 weeks, and I already have 6 minipets <3 Vanity is an important aspect of any MMO if you ask me; it keeps us more closely tied to our characters and feel more immersed/connected, which should make the game more fun. Games = fun yeye This is just my opinion, but I took the titles to be more a reward for people who would do that kind of thing anyway (be it PvP, exploration, or w/e), so they could show off their interest/time investment rather than claim they've done X Y or Z and have people half or not believe them But of course there's always going to be titles you can get very easily in comparison, which of course are not going to be anywhere near as well respected as something like exploring every area of the game. There has to be a few gimme titles for the kiddies so they don't feel left out Ohh, and as an aside, I've easily spent over $600 on GW, between my 2 accounts and CE's. Single most expensive purchase was a prophecies CE bought about 2 years after the original release on ebay for $100-ish. And that was just for the sparkley hands. Don't underestimate the vanity of gamers
